Planadas Decaf – Colombia
Summary
This naturally processed decaffeinated coffee from Colombia's Tolima region is cultivated by two grower cooperatives in Planadas and Gaitania, bringing together over 240 families. It features Caturra, Colombia, Castillo, and Typica varieties, grown at 1700-2000 meters. The decaffeination uses the sugar cane (EA) process. Roasted slowly to preserve fruity aromatics, it offers rich, nougat-like sweetness with notes of brown sugar, Ginjinha (Portuguese cherry liquor), and a malty finish. Suitable for both filter and espresso.
