Katogo
Summary
Katogo is a washed coffee from Uganda, produced by The Garden Coffee, a processing station founded by Norman Mukuru in the foothills of Mount Elgon. The coffee is sourced from smallholder farmers in the Sironko, Mbale, Bulambuli, and Kapchorwa districts. It is processed with a careful washed method: ripe cherries are floated and hand-sorted, pulped the same day, fermented in open tanks, washed thoroughly, and dried slowly on African beds for 18-21 days. The cup profile features milk chocolate, cherries, bergamot, and black tea.
