El Placer. Sidra. Red Honey
Summary
This exceptional Bourbon Sidra Red Honey lot comes from El Placer Farms, a project led by Sebastián Ramírez, a fourth-generation Colombian producer recognized internationally for his innovative approach to specialty coffee. The farm is located between the Quindío and Huila regions of Colombia, at altitudes ranging from 1,200 to 2,100 meters above sea level. The coffee was processed using a Red Honey method with anaerobic fermentation, which enhances sweetness, complexity, and depth. The cup is extraordinarily expressive with intense aromas of grapefruit, mandarin, and brown sugar, and flavors of ripe grapefruit, sweet mandarin, honey, and brown sugar, accompanied by a bright, citrusy, and juicy acidity. The body is medium, silky, and very juicy, with a clean, sweet, and prolonged finish.
