Peru Timbuyacu 122h
Summary
A washed coffee from Finca Timbuyacu in the Amazonas region of Peru, produced by Alfonso Tejada Iberico and Karim Rosario Araoz Grandez. Grown at 1620m altitude, this Caturra variety undergoes an extended 122-hour fermentation before washing and drying on raised beds for 15-20 days. The coffee offers tasting notes of raisins, praline, and milk chocolate. The farm serves as a model for the Café Monteverde cooperative, helping local producers improve quality. Alfonso inherited the land from his grandmother Eleodora, and the farm includes 38 hectares of forest reserve.
