Kostaryka Los Duran Sl28 Natural
Summary
Costa Rican SL28 from Los Durán Micromill in Sarchí, West Valley, grown at 1600–1900 m on the El Roble parcel and processed as a natural, with whole cherries dried on raised beds for about 21 days. The Durán family runs its own micromill, controlling selection, preparation and drying of each microlot. SL28, a variety usually associated with East Africa, here expresses Costa Rican West Valley terroir. Light roast with a fruity, sweet profile: cherry, melon and vanilla, medium-high sweetness and acidity, low bitterness. Best brewed as filter, especially V60, Chemex or French press.
