Summary
Coffee from the Gajo region, Aceh province, Indonesia, grown at 1300–1600 meters above sea level on fertile volcanic soils in a cool tropical climate. Coffee trees grow in shade, cherries are hand-picked and processed using the traditional flotation method (rimbang), ensuring only fully ripe cherries are selected. Processed using natural-anaerobic method. Varieties: Gajo 1, Gajo 2. Tasting notes include Dark Stout, Brownie, Apple Cider, and Plum Jam. Full, dense body with intense sweetness of dark chocolate and fruit jam, and a long finish with sparkling apple cider acidity.
