Summary
Gichathaini AA is a Kenyan coffee from the Gichathaini washing station, owned by local smallholder farmers as part of the Gikanda Farmers' Cooperative Society on the eastern slopes of Mount Kenya. Grown at 1600-1900 MASL by 770 smallholder farmers in deep red volcanic soils. Varieties include SL28, SL34, Ruiru 11 and Batian. Washed processed using fresh waters from the Ragati river. Offers a complex sensory profile with notes of blackcurrant, raspberry and lemon.
