Summary

Single-origin Kenyan coffee from the Githembe Coffee Factory in Kiambu County, about 47 km northwest of Nairobi, operating under the Thirika Farmers Co-operative Society. Grown at roughly 1,800 m.a.s.l. in red volcanic soils with loam and black cotton, shaded by Grevillea and indigenous trees, with 900–1,100 mm annual rainfall. Varieties SL28, SL34 and Ruiru 11, washed and sun-dried on tables. Tasting notes of black tea, lime zest and wild strawberry.
