Lica Torres – Black Cherry Gesha
Summary
Lica Torres' Black Cherry Gesha is a specialty coffee from Costa Rica's Brunca region, produced by Don Lica Torres at Cerro Buena Vista farm near Chirripó Volcano at 1500-1600 MASL. This Gesha variety undergoes a unique Black Cherry Natural process where cherries are left to over-ripen on the plant before extended fermentation in propylene bags and drying on raised beds and concrete. The coffee offers notes of rose, cooked cherry, orange zest, and craft chocolate, with a light roast profile.
