Gondo
Summary
Gondo is a Kenyan washed coffee from the Gondo Washing Station in Murang'a County, operated by the New Kiriti Farmers Cooperative Society. Hundreds of smallholder producers farm at around 1,900 masl on the slopes of the Aberdare range, selectively handpicking ripe cherry and delivering it the same day. Cherries are hand-sorted and density separated before pulping, dry fermented for 16–18 hours, fully washed with fresh stream water, then soaked and dried slowly on raised beds over roughly two weeks. Varieties Castillo and Colombia.
