Lunji Estate is a washed coffee from the Mbeya region of Tanzania, produced by Clemens Maier, Stella Maier and Thomas Plattner at the family-run Lunji Estate. It features Blue Mountain, Bourbon and Typica varieties grown at 1,600m altitude. The washed processing involves 24-hour fermentation followed by thorough washing and 9-13 days of drying on raised beds. In the cup, expect notes of green apple, thyme, vanilla yogurt and white grape, with a balanced vanilla sweetness, light to medium body, and a spicy herbal finish. The coffee scored 87 points.
