Las Lajas
Summary
A single-origin coffee from Finca Las Lajas in Poas, Central Valley, Costa Rica, produced by Oscar and Francisca Chacón. This SL28 variety is processed using the Black Diamond Natural method, where fully ripe cherries are dried on patios with the fruit flesh intact, absorbing intense fruit sugars. Grown at 1,500m on volcanic soils, the coffee offers flavour notes of passion fruit, mango, and raspberry jam, with a boozy sweetness, tropical acidity, and a complex mouthfeel. Scored 91 points.
