Papua New Guinea Marawaka
Summary
A washed coffee from the Marawaka Female Cooperative in the remote Obura Wonenara district of Papua New Guinea's Eastern Highlands Province. Grown at 1900m, this Typica and Arusha lot offers notes of white nectarine and papaya. The coffee is produced by a group of thirty female smallholder farmers, and the remote location requires a three-day hike or airlift to transport the coffee out. This is a first attempt at specialty quality, with a bright future ahead.
