Florence & Jessica Marigi, Kenya
Summary
Florence & Jessica Marigi is a single-origin coffee from Malaki Estate in Githunguri, Kiambu County, Kenya, on the western slopes of the Aberdare Range. Established in 1959 by Edward Marigi, the estate is managed by Florence Mukuhi Marigi and daughter Jessica. Grown at over 1,900 meters above sea level on rich red volcanic soils, this coffee comprises SL-28 and SL-34 varieties. It undergoes traditional washed processing: cherries are pulped, fermented for 36–48 hours, washed, then dried on raised beds for about 14 days. Tasting notes include peach, watermelon, and honey.
