Summary
Gathaithi is a coffee from the Nyeri region of Kenya, produced by the Gathaithi Farmers' Cooperative Society (FCS) with 1,600+ members. The coffee consists of SL28 and SL34 varieties and undergoes a washed process with an additional soaking phase typical of traditional Kenyan processing. It is grown in red volcanic soil between Mt. Kenya and the Aberdare ranges. Tasting notes include blackcurrant, peach, and citrus. Proud Mary has had a relationship with this producer since 2022.
