Los Noranjos – Anaerobic Geisha – El Salvador
Summary
Single origin micro lot from El Salvador, grown in the Apeneca region by Los Noranjos, a group of producers founded by high school friends who operate several farms together. This lot comes from Finca Ethiopia, situated behind the Llamatepec Volcano on mineral-rich soil, where only 13 of 34.5 hectares are cultivated and the rest is kept as natural forest. The Geisha variety was processed as a Natural with Anaerobic Extended Fermentation, with careful monitoring of temperature, pH and sugar levels over several days, followed by drying on raised beds for about 30 days. The cup shows exceptional clarity, mild acidity and upfront fruit flavours, tasting of fresh mango and mellow tangy passion fruit.
