Kegwa Aa
Summary
Kegwa AA comes from the Kegwa Factory in the Kirinyaga region of Kenya. Over 2,000 smallholder farmers deliver cherries to the factory, cultivating SL-28, SL-34 and Ruiru 11 varieties. The coffee is fully washed: cherries are hand-sorted, floated, pulped, fermented for 12-16 hours, washed, soaked for 12-24 hours, then dried on raised beds or solar driers for 10-14 days. Grown at 1600-1700 masl on rich volcanic soils. Tasting notes: lemon, cherry and blackberry with a juicy mouthfeel.
