Guji Megadu - Ethiopia
Summary
This coffee from Guji Megadu, Ethiopia is produced by Bette Buna, a company deeply rooted in the community of Taferi Kela. The lot comes from their own farm in Guji Megadu, part of the Shakisso Woreda, a remote, mountainous and densely forested region. The coffee is processed using an anaerobic natural method: ripe cherries are fermented anaerobically in sealed tanks for 96 hours, then dried on raised African beds. The varieties are 74112, 74110, and Wild Guji Megadu. Tasting notes include cloudy lemonade, honeydew melon, and honey. Bette Buna is committed to building opportunities for local farmers, distributing climate-change adapted seedlings, and providing equal opportunity employment.
