Indien Monsooned Malabar
Summary
This single-origin coffee from India's Malabar coast is processed using the traditional monsooning method: after harvest, the beans are exposed to humid monsoon winds, which reduces acidity and gives them a mild, full-bodied character. Grown at 900–1400 meters in the Chikmagalur region of Karnataka, it is harvested from October to February. The Arabica beans (varieties: Kent, Cauwerz, Tafarika, San Fíamon) display a medium-dark roast with notes of walnut, caramel, earthy spice, and chocolate. Low acidity, soft and full-bodied, with a long finish.
