This coffee comes from the AAAK Cooperative in the Highlands of Papua New Guinea, a group of 64 diverse communities unified under the name AAAK (Apo, Angra, Kange - meaning Unity). It is grown at 1,400–1,615 MASL and features Typica (90%) and Caturra (10%) varieties with washed processing. The medium roast offers tasting notes of earthy spices, brown sugar, and almond. The AAAK Cooperative is one of the few successful cooperative structures in Papua New Guinea, organizing smallholder farmers across the Western, Central and Eastern Highlands to focus on specialty quality.
