Rwanda Mukama
Summary
This coffee comes from Mukama sector, Nyagatare district in Rwanda's Eastern Province. Produced by smallholder farmers as part of the Akagera Coffee Project managed by Jean Nepo Mukotanyi, this Bourbon variety coffee is grown at 1850-2200 metres above sea level. The lot is fully washed, with ripe cherries hand-sorted, fermented for 12-18 hours, then dried on raised African beds for approximately 25 days. Flavour notes include grape, watermelon and dark chocolate. The coffee is light to medium roasted and suitable for both filter and espresso brewing.
