Rwanda Birembo
Summary
Rwanda Birembo is a single origin specialty coffee from Rwanda's western mountainous region. Grown by approximately 600 smallholder farmers at altitudes of 1700–2000 meters above sea level, this 100% Red Bourbon variety undergoes fully washed processing with a 36-hour water fermentation at the Birembo washing station (1500m elevation). The coffee presents a flavor profile of mango, strawberry, apricot, and cocoa with medium acidity, pronounced sweetness, and a smooth, syrupy body. This filter-roasted coffee is recommended for pour-over methods such as V60, Origami, or AeroPress.
