Uganda Mukuru Natural
Summary
Ugandan natural coffee produced by Norman Mukuru, who sources from smallholder farmers in the districts of Sironko, Mbale, Bulambuli and Kapchorwa on the slopes of Mount Elgon, an extinct volcano on the border with Kenya. Arabica is grown between 1,200 and 2,200 masl in volcanic soils with plentiful rain and abundant sunshine. The cherries are dried whole with the bean inside, giving a fruity profile of raspberry sweetness balanced with brown sugar and caramel.
