Luis Anibal - Ombligon Natural
Summary
Luis Anibal, a second-generation coffee producer, grows this rare Ombligon variety on his 40-hectare farm Villa Betulia in Acevedo, Huila, Colombia at 1600-1700 masl. The coffee is processed using the Natural method – hand-picked cherries are sorted and dried on raised beds. Ombligon is thought to be a natural mutation of Ethiopian heirloom varieties. This lot offers floral notes of rose and hibiscus, alongside red fruit (strawberry) and winey characteristics, resulting in a tropical and bright cup reminiscent of early-summer sangria.
