Summary

Samii Chelbesa #2 is a washed single-origin coffee from Ethiopia, produced by Girum Assefa at the Danche washing station in the Chelbesa area of Gedeb Woreda. Grown at 2100 meters above sea level on rich fertile red soil, the coffee is made from Dega and Wolisho varieties. The cherries are hand-picked, sorted, pulped, and fermented for up to 72 hours before being washed and dried. The cup profile features floral notes of lavender, bergamot, and lime. This lot is roasted for filter preparation and scored 89 points.
