Unorthodox Roasters

Unorthodox Roasters is a specialty coffee roastery based in Kinross, Scotland, firing up beans since 2016. They're the kind of outfit that names a coffee "Trump Is An A$$" and roasts a Liquid Gold Yellowcake — clearly not taking themselves too seriously, while taking the coffee very seriously indeed. Their founders travelled to Japan in 2019, and that influence shows: alongside single-origin coffees and fun Scottish-named blends like Wee Stoater and Munro Bagger, they stock Japanese ceramics, matcha, and hojicha. They run their own cafes, offer subscriptions by the bag or the kilo, and supply local businesses through their trade programme. Irreverent, Scottish, and properly caffeinated.
