Man vs. Machine

Man vs. Machine is a Munich-based specialty coffee roaster founded in 2014—fiercely independent, no investors, just them. They roast exclusively specialty-grade Arabica (no robusta) with a signature sweet-and-bright profile. Every coffee gets the “Omni Roast” treatment, working beautifully for both filter and espresso. Small and quality-obsessed, they source via direct trade and long-term partnerships with some of the finest farms. When they stumble on something truly funky, it gets the “Mad Professor” label. They run multiple cafes across Munich—Maxvorstadt, Glockenbach, Schwabing—plus a roastery cafe. Good coffee, no nonsense, and they mean it.
