Four Letter Word is a specialty coffee roaster with roots on Burgazada island, off Istanbul, Turkey, and a second home in Chicago, Illinois. Started in 2014 by Eylem Ozkaya, Kevin Heisner, and Ria Neri, the crew roasts on a Probat in Chicago and a Giesen in Istanbul, chasing clarity, balance, and depth. They work directly with producers, pay attention to transparency, and let the coffee speak for itself. You'll find them pulling shots at their Chicago cafe or the island spot, with a bookstore attached to some of them. Latest release? A gorgeous washed Yirgacheffe.
