Guatemala El Tempixque Catuai
Summary
The Falla family's El Tempixque farm in the Antigua valley of Guatemala produces this Catuai variety coffee with washed processing. The Falla family began cultivating coffee in 1890, and Arturo Falla Cofiño purchased El Tempixque in 1962, introducing shade-grown practices using Grevillea and Macadamia trees. The coffee offers tasting notes of chocolate, yellow apple, and a syrupy texture. The Falla family has been a partner since 2020, and the farm includes a micro-mill for special process microlots. Suitable for both espresso (1:2.5 ratio) and filter (1:16 ratio).
