Summary
Single origin coffee from Kiriga Estate in Kiambu County, Kenya. The first coffee trees were planted in 1954. Now managed by Brian Gakunga, grandson of the original buyer Aloysius Gakunga. Grown at 1800-1950 meters elevation using SL28 and Ruiru II varieties. Processed using washed/double wash method, sun-dried on raised beds. The beans are graded AA (size 17/18, over 7.2 mm). Flavour profile: orange, rhubarb, red currants.
