Kenya Mbegu Ndogo is a single origin coffee from smallholder farmers in the Kirinyaga County region of Kenya, specifically from Kaliluni, Machakos County, Eastern Province. Grown at 1,400-1,600 meters above sea level on nutrient-rich volcanic soil by members of the New Ngariama Farmers Cooperative Society. Varieties include SL-28, SL-34, and Ruiru 11. Processed using the traditional Kenyan double-soak washed method with 12-24 hours fermentation, a second 24-hour soak, and 9-13 days of drying on raised beds. Flavor profile features pineapple, lemon, and black tea notes with bright acidity and a tannic black tea body.
