Summary

Gakuyu-ini is a washed single-origin coffee from Kirinyaga County, Kenya, grown at 1600-1700 masl by smallholder producers in Githiru, Gituba and Mukure villages, affiliated with Thirikwa Farmers' Co-operative Society. The factory, established in 1982, wet-processes cherries with water from River Kiri, then ferments, washes, soaks and sun-dries on raised beds. Varieties include Ruiru 11, Batian, SL34 and SL28. This filter roast offers a bright, complex cup with red fruit, peach and floral notes.
