Grown at 1,900–2,200 meters elevation, the coffee is processed using the natural/sundried method. Varieties include Typica and Ja'adi. The cup profile features intricate fruit complexity with notes of fruit punch, cardamom, and rose with a perfumed floral finish. Counter Culture Coffee has partnered with Hassan Assalol since 2018 through export partner Mokha Story, working together through challenging circumstances in Yemen's ongoing conflict to bring this distinctive coffee to market.
