Summary

A single-origin Grade 1 100% Arabica coffee from plantations in the tropical rainforests of North Sumatra, Indonesia. The stable rainforest microclimate supports healthy coffee shrubs and gives this coffee its rich aroma and a slightly licorice-like character. Earthy, full and intense body, made more exciting by delicate fruity and nutty aromas with mild acidity. Light-medium roast, ideal for long coffee. Part of the Orangutan Coffee project, which supports the critically endangered Sumatran orangutans and their rainforest habitat and the livelihoods of more than 350 coffee-growing communities in the Gayo highlands.
