La Esperanza - Peru Espresso
Summary
A washed single origin espresso from Peru, produced by the Cooperative Ecologica de Mujeres Cafeteleras Villa Rica (CEMCAVIR) at Finca La Esperanza, a women-led cooperative farm. Grown at 1500-1900m altitude, this lot is a blend of five varieties: Bourbon, Catimor, Caturra, Geisha, and Pache. The washed processing gives a clean, accessible flavour profile with sweetness of ripe figs and wild honey, complemented by a fine citrus acidity reminiscent of clementine. Scored 85 points.
