La Esperanza is a single-origin filter coffee from Peru, grown on Finca La Esperanza in Villa Rica at approximately 1,800 m elevation. Produced by Olga Tello Quintana, a third-generation coffee farmer from the Yanesha indigenous community. The lot is a blend of Caturra, Catuai, Bourbon, Gesha and Catimor varieties, processed using the washed method. Tasting notes include cherries, vanilla and nougat, with a buttery sweetness, citrusy acidity, and a light, clean body. Scored 85 points.
