Summary

Panama, Colombia and Ethiopia · mostly washed and natural lots

Newav Coffee Roasters is a specialty coffee roaster based in Melbourne, Australia, roasting since 2019. Founded by Gabrel Tan, it’s a small-batch operation built on direct relationships with producers—chasing microlots and exclusive lots like washed Geshas and experimental naturals. The lineup leans toward rare and limited offerings, with names like Finca El Mirador and Kotowa Las Brujas. They’re not just talk: Newav is home to the 2026 Australian Barista Champion, which tells you the coffee has to be good. If you’re into trying coffees that have a story and a terroir, this is the kind of roaster you want on your radar. Free domestic shipping over $70.
