The Forge roasts in Sheffield, on the site where the old Forge Inn once stood — a bit of steel-city heritage they lean into hard. Everything comes off a Giesen, hand-roasted in small batches, and the house line is that you shouldn't need to know anything about coffee to buy good coffee: plain talk about what's in the bag, flavour ahead of jargon. Alongside the beans they run a consultancy arm — equipment sourcing, technical service, training and events — so they're as much a fixture of Sheffield's coffee scene as a roastery.
