Cupping Room

Cupping Room is one of Hong Kong's specialty coffee heavyweights. Founder Kapo Chiu got hooked on good coffee while doing an MBA in San Francisco — Blue Bottle was the lightbulb moment — and came home to open the first Cupping Room in Stanley back in 2011. It's grown into around nine cafés across the city, with a dedicated roastery in Po Hing Fong turning out small-batch coffees prized for aroma, sweetness and clarity. The competition record is serious too: multiple Hong Kong Barista Championship wins and podium finishes at the World Barista Championship.
