Nafuna

Summary

Nafuna is a coffee from Uganda, produced by The Coffee Gardens. It is named after their field and processing officer, Jacky Nafuna. The coffee undergoes a unique process: freshly picked cherries are pulped, then fermented in water with their own pulp for 23 hours, and dried on African drying beds in solar dryers with meticulous sorting at 12 stages. The cup is very clean and sweet with notes of nectarine and brown sugar, and a hint of florals reminiscent of rosehip tea when cooled.
