Ethiopia Suke Quto Honey
Summary
A single-origin coffee from the Suke Quto farm in the Guji zone of Sidamo, Ethiopia. Tesfaye Bekele established the farm as a forest conservation project, distributing shade tree seedlings and Ethiopian heirloom varieties such as Wolisho and Kurume to 150 local growers. The cherries are hand-picked and honey processed, which is rare for Ethiopia. It is Organic and Rainforest Alliance certified. The cup profile features floral notes, bergamot, lemon, fruit jam, sugarcane sweetness, dark chocolate, nougat, narcissus, and cedar with a full, syrupy mouthfeel. Scored 95 points by Coffee Review in December 2019.
