Popayán, Colombia
Summary
This Colombian decaf coffee comes from the Popayán region in the Cauca department, grown at 1,500-2,070 meters above sea level by a group of approximately 65 local farmers working with import partners Cofinet. The coffee is of the Caturra and Castillo varieties, fully washed and decaffeinated using the sugarcane ethyl acetate (EA) process which removes 97% of caffeine. It offers tasting notes of cinnamon, dark chocolate, and rose, with a smooth, balanced profile. Roasted as an omniroast suitable for both espresso and filter brewing.
