Namisuni
Summary
Namisuni is a subcounty in the Mount Elgon region of eastern Uganda, where high elevations and fertile volcanic soils favour high-quality Arabica. Produced by The Coffee Yard, a women-led company based in Mbale founded in 2018, working with smallholder farmers whose ripe cherries are processed at a station in Sironko and finished in Mbale. Varieties SL 14 and SL 28, natural process, dried on drying beds, grown at 1800-2100 m. Harvest runs October to January, picked manually.
