Kenya Kainamui is a washed coffee from the Kirinyaga region of Kenya, produced by smallholders affiliated with the New Ngariama Farmers Cooperative Society. The coffee is grown on the slopes of Mount Kenya at 1750 masl. Varieties include SL-34, Ruiru 11, SL-28, and Batian. The washed processing involves pulping, 18-24 hour fermentation, washing, grading, 24-hour soaking, and drying on raised African beds for 7-15 days. Flavour notes include lime, stewed green apple, and red berries.
