Mount Elgon

Summary

Mount Elgon is a single origin coffee from the Busba region of Uganda, grown at high altitudes in volcanic soil under banana and avocado trees. Produced by smallholder farmers of the Mount Elgon Agroforestry Communities Co-operative Enterprise (MEACCE), led by Nimrod and Jenipher. This Fairtrade certified Arabica coffee offers fruity and caramel notes with a medium roast profile, suitable for both espresso and filter brewing. The coffee is shade-grown and supports reforestation and sustainable farming initiatives in the Mbale region.
