Guatemala Santa Clara
Summary
A single-origin coffee from Finca Santa Clara, located on the southern slopes of Volcán de Agua in the Antigua Valley, Guatemala. Managed by fourth-generation producer Ricardo Zelaya, the farm sits at 1500-1890 metres above sea level. This lot is comprised of the rare Gesha Malawi varietal and is processed using the Natural method. The cup profile presents notes of Lavender, Tangerine, and Icing Sugar. The Zelaya family has been growing coffee for over 100 years, with a focus on quality, shade-grown practices, eco-friendly mills, and community support including a scholarship program for workers' children.
