The coffee is naturally processed (whole cherries dried to deepen fruit character) and roasted light. The cup profile features aromatics of rose and fresh strawberry, with notes of brown sugar, wild honey, and stewed plum, complemented by bright acidity reminiscent of cherry, pineapple, and green apple. Francisco Mena is a leader in Costa Rica's micromill movement, known for experimentation with varieties and processing methods to reveal vibrant fruit and remarkable clarity.
