Papua New Guinea Arufa
Summary
Papua New Guinea Arufa is a light espresso roast from the Jiwaka region, produced by smallholder farmers from the Arufa and Kindeng micro-communities. Grown on volcanic soils at 1520–1770 meters, this 100% Arabica coffee comprises Bourbon, Arusha, Blue Mountain, and Mundo Novo varieties. Hand-picked cherries are processed using the natural (dry) method and sun-dried for about a month. The cup is complex and round, very sweet, with a full body, honeyed medium-high acidity, and flavors of tropical fruits and red berries.
