Guatemala Sugarcane Decaf Nº 339
Summary
Decaffeinated Guatemalan coffee from Coffee Bird, comprising lots from Finca San Jeronimo, El Zapote, Gascon, Santa Irene and San Jorge. The beans are washed and decaffeinated using the Sugarcane process, which preserves the original coffee flavour. Varieties include Bourbon, Caturra, Catuai and a small amount of Gesha. Grown at 1350-2000m in Atitlan, Acatenango and Antigua. The cup offers muscovado sugar, baked plum and hazelnut notes, with a sweet, complex and accessible character that works well with milk and espresso.
