Summary
This coffee comes from various farms in Jaen province, Cajamarca region in northern Peru. Cajamarca is a tropical highland area with fertile soil in the Andes mountains. Smallholder farmers cultivate coffee on 2-3 hectares, many practicing organic farming. After harvest, the coffee cherries are washed and processed at the Chacra Coffee Company station, a new facility that started operations in summer 2023. Varieties include Caturra, Bourbon, Catuai, and Catimor. The flavour profile features dried fruits, citrus, and cherry.
